The Abarth company was started back in 1949 by founders Carlo Abarth and Guido Scagliarini. The first car they produced was the 204 A Roadster, a powerful racing vehicle heavily based on the Fiat 1100. The Abarth company later became the racing division for Fiat and now bases all its models on the iconic Fiat 500. Abarth vehicles are very different from Fiats, however. An Abarth can easily be identified by its distinctive red and yellow scorpion emblem, sleek styling, and racing features.
